Airfix Chirchill Bridgelayer and Scammel tank transporter

More assault choices for Dday. One of the kits I got in trade today.
There was also a Scammel Tank transporter which I am also building.

My idea is to construct an Engineering brigade for Bridging operations. An article in Minature Wargames November,  2001 contains an article by RH Miles  which used a scenario about bridging.
In the scenario, the Royal Engineers are supported by a Para Battalion against a German force consisting of Panzergrenadier, Panzerjagers and a Panzer Battalion
All of these bits I now have. I just have to build up the engineering vehicles
And as of March 2020 I'm still working on the Scammel let alone the other tanks
And a friend of mine built up the Churchill for me as she was so bored during the Covid pandemic

German Strum Brummbar

My Germans will be happy to get some firepower, Strumpanzer-Abteilung 217
this assault gun has a 150mm gun, I shall deploy this in any action against the British and Canadians around Caen
Kit completed 2020

and some Panzergrenadier in winter kit.
who may become an Estonian SS division.

Canadian army recieving several transportation additions

This morning I traded one of my collections to one of my new friends. In return he passed over several kits for me. These include:
Chevrolet C15A No. 13 Cab general service which I'll assign to the 2nd Division
A PSC universal carrier.
A PSC Half track
For the 3rd Division, they will receive
An Airfix Half track and jeep.
The 5th Division will receive
A Morris Quad tractor and 25pdr gun

1st Canadian Division will receive a GMC CCW.

1st Canadian Infantry Division 1939-1945

Goodness Gracioius me, I thought I had done an article on this Canadian division.
I had posted about gaming with the division in Italy but hadn't actually done a post on my modeled division.
The complete division I can field.

Support for this division comes with a Churchill and Sherman, from The King's Own Calgary Regiment, a 25pdr gun from the 1st Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery

The First Brigade consisting of The Royal Canadian Regiment, The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment, 48th Highlanders of Canada.

The Second Brigade consisting of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, The Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, The Loyal Edmonton Regiment.

The Third Brigade consists of Royal 22eme Regiment, The Carleton and York Regiment, The West Nova Scotia Regiment

The Machine-gun battalion for the division which consisted of Vickers MMGs and 81mm mortars comes from The Saskatoon Light Infantry.

Panzer IV tank

initially I believed I had 2 of these in 1/72 however I several of them as 10mm.
Overtime I'll update this post.
One of the new sets I got in trade is one of the short gun versions. I shall build this over time during the summer of 2019. Correction I built it during the Covid 19 epidemic of 2020, in April needs some paint and decals
I've since painted the short barreled version, just need some decals.
A second one I've done up interchangeable with my Ostwind

Osprey publishing Sherman Firefly

I have the book of the Firefly vs Tiger but picked up the stand alone book on the Firefly used from a collector in Nova Scotia.
His collection is getting too big and he'd like to downsize.
So I got a very good deal.
So I'm going to have to take some pictures of my growing collection.
In the summer of 2020, I increased my collection by 2 more in 15mm.
I also have two books on the subject which I will add. And shots of the Fireflies I have.

Additions to my Anti-tank sections, and tanks.

Ok, so I know I made a promise to myself to not spend anymore on my hobbies but I had the chance to pick up some new kit today from a Royal Canadian Navy veteran.

His collection is getting too big so he decided to part with bits of his collection.
First, I was able to get a British 2 pounder
A German 37mm gun, a Comet tank, and a Scammell tank transporter.
So my Far East Commonwealth unit will get the small gun,
The comet will now be part of the 11th Armoured division and the early war German force will get the 37mm gun.
I may be able to get some more figures as well.
All in all, I should be getting a total of 15 kits for the cost of one collection I am not interested in gamming anymore, a few bits and pieces I'm willing to part with and spares of stuff I already have.
Anti-tank units for the Royal Artillery and the Royal Canadian Artillery consisted of
2pdr field guns
6pdr field guns
17pdr field
17/25pdr guns The Partridge
The M-10 self-propelled gun
The 25pdr system was used as Anti-tank but was never intended for such

4th Indian Division 1939-45 British Indian Army

Warlord Games sent a free sprue with Wargames Illustrated back in February. I have just now been able to assemble and try to paint them.

The sprue contains 6 figures. I have decided to give these gentlemen a Bren, Thompson SMG, a Bren and the rest MKIII Lee-Enfields

The officer I have given the smg, I'm tired of seeing officers only having a pistol.

The men of this section are Punjabi troops as I already have some Sikhs.
This was the first set I have gotten of them and once I have paid off my bill on mintatures for this year, I will be getting a full set of them.
6th Rajputana Rifles
Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment
2nd Punjab, 3rd/15th Punjab, 4th/16th Punjab, 7th Gurkha Rifles
This division will be getting a 25pdr with a Tow, and some Universal carrier variants.
