On my way up to Nunavut, I decided on my layover to do a pilgrimage to the Canadian War Museum, and man, I'm sure glad i did

Good thing that cameras are now digital, I would probobly have gone through 10 rolls of film

A Pilgrimage to the National War Memorial, Ottawa, Ontario, September, 20, 2022

 On my way to my teaching job in Nunavut, I had a stopover in Ottawa, so I made a pilgrimage to our National War Memorial.

 I was a bit emotional remembering my grandfather, who was one of the lucky ones who came back, but also remembering those, who didn't like my great uncle, Aubrey Higgins who is laying in France.

And for Cpl. Cirillio, a young father who was doing his duty, and is now eternally so.

Soviet artillery was able to take out the SS Webelwind but fell victim to the 105mm sp wespe battery

The SS begins their advance to push back the Russians 

Doing well for a bit until Ivan's MMGs cut down the Panzergrenadiers. By that time, the Germans were basically halted in their recce.
