Im eager to do some more games

Since September 2022, I haven't played any FOW or Bolt Action.

I'm going to remedy that in a few weeks.

I'm thinking on getting the theater books for FOW rather than buying the collection,

However I am thinking on doing a North African campaign in 15mm.

I just have so much 1/72, that I don't want to waste them

Australian 21st Brigade New Guinea 1942

The 21st Brigade of the Australian Imperial Force was part of the 7th Division.

I've modeled 2 of the battalions in 1/72

2/14th

2/16th Cameron Highlanders of Western Australia

Now the 16th I've chosen because I have a connection to.

While i was teaching in Japan, my supervisor has served in the Battalion as an M60 GPMG gunner. He'd risen to the rank of Sgt by the time he got out. Hence why he was such a good supervisor.

It's also one of the few Australian Scottish units. The command section  has a piper.

I will post pictures of these units once I return to Nova Scotia in the summer of 2023.

And this group is joining my painting que.

Stuart

Stuart in Canadian War Museum collection
An early Valetine

Now while the Stuart's were outclassed as a main tank, they more than suited for Recce work in the desert and North West Europe. They continued to be used as combat tanks in Burma against the Japanese.

My own collection I currently have 4 which I can field as a Recce patrol for one of my divisions, using the FOW cards.

Panzer 1

part of the Canadian War Museum collection

The tank the Germans started off with.

And interesting to note, Battlefront Minatures is releasing a plastic kit of the Panzer II in May, 2023. It should be interesting to see when I can build a few of those kits.

Tempe Gorge, Greece 1941 Bolt Action

German Paras

German heavy weapons

German 12th army advances towards an ANZAC force.

Though the ANZAC force has no heavy machine gun position or any vehicles they are defending a blown bridge and a hilly area.

The Germans have air and Artillery support

166th Regiment (Newfoundland) Royal Artillery

Another reason for me to build a Flames

es of War British force is to make this 25pdr battery for North Africa and Italy.
Over the summer I bought a Plastic Soldier Company set of 15mm to begin a North African campaign force.
It will take awhile
I've built the battery of 2 guns with tractors and I'm painting them in desert colours.
Now to just get a desert force built.
The current battery now has 3 guns painted and has crew for North Africa.
