Thoughts on factions for A Very British Civil War

I recently bought the film, The King's Speech and got to thinking that the factions I am going to field are going to be interesting.
First The Royalists: these are troops with the title Royal in their name. However, the Artillery may fracture.
British Union of Facists: Mosley's troops, who as the new British prime minister will have his Blackshirt support with an Expeditionary force from German and Italy.
The Albertists: Monarchy support for Prince Albert, I am going to have a large Canadian 8Australian support there.
The Anglican League: Chirch of England supporters who will support a monarch who truly represents the best I interests of the church.
The Scottish Army: Scottish Regiments who have deserted the British army and have sworn to support a government which will give Scotland her independence or a special form in a revised union.
Tje Socialists: Social and Communist inspired units,
I'm going to be fielding a game shortly on the subject

Royalist and British Union of Facists

The Royalists and BUF kept up an aggressive attack on the town but were badly beaten by the Anglicans and Albertists. Despite lacking heavy weapons, they used what they had and grenades to take out the Facists tanks. Seeing as to the damage inflicted, the Facists fell back.

Skirmish game, Dad's army action in England

Ok, so this game shall be a mix of A Very British Civil War flavor with WW2, from Wargames illustrated issue 386 Dec 2019

The figures will be a mix of First World War and Second World War, depending on weapons.

And also, there is a mix of treachery. The figures are a mix of civilian types which I have, and WW2 and WW1 British.

Home Guard: 32 figures
Capt. Mainwaring with pistol, 7 men with rifles.
Sgt. Wilson with rifle, a Lewis LMG 6 Rifles
Cpl. Jones with rifle, one smg, 5 rifles
Pte Sponge with smg, 7 men rifles

Germans: 23 figures
Brandenburgers (special forces) Sgt and 7 men 1 Bren, 7 rifles
Para Lt pistol, 3 rifles, 1 LMG
Para Sgt smg, 3 rifles 1 LMG
Para Cpl smg, 4 rifles

objective is for the Home Guard to hold the post office
the Germans need to take the post office and destroy the telephone exchange.

A Very British Civil War: Free for all for the Church.

A small English hamlet is in a right mess. A Church of England cathedral is being held by a group from the Anglican League. As the church us built on a hill, and has a well armed garrison of Artillery, mortars and Vickers Mgs. The local lord has been pushed out by a Communist Farm workers collective. Mosley's British Union of Facisits with the support of a Royalist brigade will attempt to clear the area of the Anglican church who do not support the legitimacy of the King Edward, the Socialist who want to bring the Red terror to the shores of Britain.

To add some order to the chaos, I have given order dice for each faction on the table.

White Anglicans

Blue Royalist 

Red Socialist

On the first turn, the Anglicans opened fire on all their enemies. They succeeded in taking out a Facists armor car, and pushed out from their defences. The socialist troops were kept back along a fence line. The Royalists took few casualties.

The Facists pushed back an Anglican probe into the village while the Royalists began an assault on the church. The Socialist troops were pinned down from tank fire in the farm from the Royalist group but were able to capture a gun, and push some troops out. Lord Laughton is still waiting to see how badly the Socialists will do as his main goal is to retake his farm.

Should be interesting to see about round 2.

A Very British Civil War actions for 2019

I'm still throwing around some ideas I have for this little project between the wars. I am still trying to think of which figures to use with which factions.
I have first war and second war figures which could be used against each other. I find my Italians and First War germans could be used as some of the Facist units.
Marxists I may just have to bring in some of my Cowboy types with a few Communits Russians thown in for fun.
Soviet Cossacks as Marxists Border Reivers against some Scottish Infantry might be interesting. And I have a few 1930s style vehicles I've been picking up which could become objectives.
I was able to find some more armed civilians and a truck so we now have a mobile flying column!
The hunters look like a gentleman's club so I should think they will be either an Anglican League group or Royalist group in support of Mosley's Fascist regime

A Very British Civil War Anglican League attempts to save their communal wine

This is our first VBCW game. The situation takes place in Nottingham Nottinghamshire where a force of Anglican League troops with a group of Albertists are forced to push out a group of British Union of Facisits and Royalists.

Newest addition to these troops will be a Vickers Light tank and an Ft 17

Oh and there are some hunting parties to add to the fun.
