Another set which is picked up is a combination set Revell put out.

Both of these kits I have been able to construct and paint after two years.

The Comet has been painted as an 11th Armoured Division Fife and Forfar Yeomanry tank. Update 3/23/2019: I have an additional Comet, so the 11th will have a full regiment.

The Paras have been painted as 156 Para Battn.

Operation Market Garden: Polish Airborne Brigade

The Polish brigade was sent as reinforcements to British Airborne. They wore similiar uniforms to the British, thus I have painted them differently to my British troops. Thus they also have a few odd weapons additions

Operation Market Garden: American Airborne

I'm not a big fan of doing American units for any wargamming. However, they do have some amazing kit, so I have troops done up for Market Garden, and I also will use these as generic NATO for my Cold War games.


 These ESCI figures I bought at Maritime Hobbies and Crafts in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The Mohawk character will become some character for a Cold War event, perhaps, ala Red Dawn.

Lots of semi-automatic weapons to give them some added firepower.

The .30 CAL MMG gives good fire support.
For weapons support, I have these jeeps and 57mm guns

These American troops are in cold weather kit, and I have some painted up for Korean War, but will refurbish them as generic NATO for early to mid Cold War.

These mortars and .50cal HMGs are good fire support as well.

Operation Market Garden: British Airborne

My Parachute Regiment units are made of several figures. A funny story about my collection got my first set of figures at Maritime Hobbys and Crafts in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Then about twenty odd years ago, the manager of the local drug store in my hometown, who was friends from my family had brought in a large amount of these figures because the toy company had listed them as action figures. Thus they didn't sell. She called my family and gave me a good deal. 

So far my British Airborne consist of Airfix, Revell, Esci, 

I shall get new pictures
